Like you mentioned you wanted to see some doors slide open and have the logo appear behind them. Well what if we opened the doors and had large images of your shop fading in and fading out, or with some kind of cool effect. This is only the intro animation design look, so the home page design is still to come, but I want to see if I'm going in the right direction for ya before we go any further. Sorry for the delay too!

-for map use a map thar has the waypoints connected like they were directions (see 2nd picture)

I like the 3rd version, but that's me. If the pin point is going to appear in the middle anyway when a date is clicked, it would still look ok to me. The top part is transparent so when the dates are clicked you will see the map move behind there, so that really is the top. Maybe when the page loads the box is there, and after a couple second it fades out. Then when you put you mouse back over the map area near the top it would appear again, and when you move your mouse away it would fade out again. Now that would be cool.

How about this? I matched that font the best way I could, the original logo is flattened so I'm not sure the exact font name.

Changes: Looks good lets go with that. I just want to change the fonts of Plan it, Drive it.....etc to the same font of the logo. Also "i" in "it" should be lower case. Send that that and I will approve. Let's keep moving forward. Thanks!!

Is this just a copy of my design haha. I have to say it looks good but I like what we did on the home page better. Let's use the dark boxes with light lettering but play off the layout above. It doesn't need to be 1 box with all info in the box like the home page. other changes:

-Add a search bar in the journals section. Inside the search bar should be a white background, write "place, member, manufacture" in light grey.

-Title of journal - "My Trip 2012" right underneath it add "by (member name)"

-change order of journal stats to and in this order and titles: Car, Distance, Entries.....for the memorable moment have no title just space it out to show separation from other stats. Call me if you're confused.

-also need to add date that it was posted, number of comments and social icons to share journal.

Here is the first draft for the maps. If you recall a previous discussion about this map, you'll remember I suggested asking the developers if they can achieve the functionality your looking for out of the map, and if they have a MAP UI already or a template that I need to guide me to make the right sizes for images. Doing this may also cut down additional time you may not need to spend developing a fully custom mapping system if the budget is not there now. You can alway upgrade things like that once you see the participation amount you get on the site.

Showed Elliot he said design how I envision and if something can't be done then he'll let me know then. So.....this is a global map showing all trip different users have journaled. Each trip should be different color pin and route. Have different for the start pint and finish pins. The pins along the trip can a look the same just different than the start and finish pin. When you hover over a pin it will show snap shot of that journal entry. If you hover over the route it will show a summary of the entire journal. Have a search bar by the map as well.

The third pages green has to be sorta darker cause it's on white, otherwise it gets washed out. As for the sidbar part with the chapters, it would be easier for me to code that then go through more design revisions there, if that is ok.

CHANGES Page 1: I love the look of the content on page 2 and 3 way better now that you have changed it....see if you can get closer to this look on page 1 as well. I think I like "DISCOVER THE IPD DIFFERENCE" not in italics better, I think it would match the strait simplistic line work that you added a bit better. Page 2: Get rid of the inside box in the picture frame, so that there is only 2 strokes in the frame instead of 3. Page 3: Brighten up the green for the pics and the lettering a bit to match the other 2 pages. ADDITIONS Something that is missing is the chapter or page concept like on the right side-bar. I think we should do it as pages not chapters though. Also would be nice if the first page could have an arrow or pointer to lead to the next, similar concept as http://www.vondutch.com/.
