This post was written for those who need to retrieve a Youtube username, Channel ID or Playlist ID for our WordPress Plugin, Feed Them Social. These instructions also apply to anyone trying retrieve your Youtube name for anything.
- Go to the Youtube Page you want to copy the name of.
- Look up in the url of your browser for your YouTube Name, it will appear after http://www.youtube.com/
- Copy only the name after the url youtube.com. Example http://youtube.com/user/ThrasherMagazine. You would only want to copy the ThrasherMagazine portion of the name.
- The Same applies to the Photos below.This one is for the Channel ID and is the most common now it seems.
- This one is for the Playlist ID.
My YouTube page doesn’t have a custom URL yet, so all I see is /channel/(assorted characters here). Any workaround for young accounts like mine?

Hello, having a little trouble with putting certain videos on pages. I want to put individual playlists on different pages. For example bottle trick videos on Flair Bartending page, then have another playlist of videos on another page. I tried the examples of the playlist and only copied certain past of the url but isn’t working after I created the short code. I did get it to work without trying to separate the videos but not after trying to segregation. Is it possible?

i am trying to import youtube feeds in my website but i have the following problem:
– I go to WordPress – FeedThem – Youtube – Insert API – OK
– When i then go to FeedtThem to generate the short code, i enter all the details, and when i click to Generate Shortcode it does nothing at all. Why’s that?

Just missing the underscore at start of shortcode. Try this. [fts_youtube channel_id=UCTLLF8uQPAB3DuzbUbztJyw vid_count=8 vids_in_row=4 large_vid=yes]
