Select User & Email Setup

This plugin will make your LIFE EASIER, taking away the repetitive task of typing a client or designers name and email in for every version of a design. Simply add your clients or designers to the WordPress users area with a role (DAS Client or DAS Designer), and you will be able to select them on your design posts.

This Extension adds features to the Design Approval System plugin which include:

  1. Admins and Designers can now select the clients and designers name (which includes email address) from drop down list on your Design Posts.
  2. When adding users to WordPress the Designer can now select the specific role of “DAS Designer” when adding yourself or additional designers. Additionally, when adding new clients names, you can choose “DAS Client” as the users role.
  3. On the design post, it is not required you use the drop down to include the clients name if you do not want. Just leave it on “Please Select Client“, then simply type the email of client in the input below and everything will work just the same.

 

What you need to know before starting.

This plugin allows you to choose DAS Designer or DAS Client from the list of Role types. However you are not bound to select these Roles if say you already have a list of clients under another role. Just make sure and choose that role type under the DAS > Settings and your good to go!

 

How do I setup Select User & Email?

  1. Start by purchasing Select User & Email. (You can also purchase the DAS Bundle Extensions which includes all of our Premium extensions for a discounted price.)
  2. After purchase, Download the extension or bundle from you “My Account” page.
  3. Upload and activate plugin to WordPress install. (for install instructions click here)
  4. Activate your license for this extension. (for Activating Plugin License instructions click here)
  5. All setup!

 

Ok, I’m all setup now – How do I use it?

Setting up a new Designer or Client in WordPress.  (Skip this step if you already have your designers and clients setup in WordPress and proper roles selected.)

  1. Login into WordPress Dashboard.
  2. Hover or click “Users” tab.
  3. Click “Add New” to add a user.
  4. Fill out all needed information. (If you want to find out more information on basic DAS user set up see Step 2: Adding Users)
  5. Under “Role” select “DAS Designer” or “Das Client” depending on who you are adding.

Selecting a Designer on a design.

  1. Start by setting up a project and design. If you already these setup skip this step.  (If you don’t know how this works follow the Quick Start steps before continuing.)
  2. Go to the design you want to add client to.  (DAS > Designs > {Title of your Design})
  3. Scroll down below the design edit area and you click the tab called “Designer Info” under the “Design Approval System” section.
  4. Select the Designer for this design from “Please Select Designer” drop down.
  5. That’s it! No more typing the designers name and email for every new design and version!

Selecting a Client on a design.

  1. Start by setting up a project and design. If you already these setup skip this step.  (If you don’t know how this works follow the Quick Start steps before continuing.)
  2. Go to the design you want to add client to.  (DAS > Designs > {Title of your Design})
  3. Scroll down below the design edit area and you click the tab called “Client Info” under the “Design Approval System” section.
  4. Select the Client for this design from “Please Select Client” drop down.
  5. That’s it! No more typing the Clients name and email for every new design and version!
